Start with a responsibility
Do you prefer direct fighting, watching the group’s route, controlling space or coordinating an objective? These are planning preferences, not confirmed in-game classes. The selector produces a role profile without pretending to know the best Envoy.
Inspect the innate Technique
In a playable build, check the Technique description and test how it behaves before judging the character. Record its actual conditions, limitations and version. A dramatic trailer moment does not establish cooldowns or damage.
Leave room for discovered Magic
Because most Magic is found in the world, a character choice and a complete match loadout are different decisions. Note what you can do immediately and what still depends on exploration.
Keep the mission visible
Infection work and evacuation create jobs beyond dealing damage. Use a team plan to agree who watches unfinished objectives and who communicates changes, without presenting those assignments as official class roles.
